沿着粗大的白色尼龙绳，上山下山不迷路。

马来西亚纸币一块钱上印着的South Peak，就是这样的。

堆叠有序的小石块，代表山民的先灵归于此地。

离开光秃的石山，过了Sayat Sayat Check Point，越往下走，路旁的树木越高。

一步一脚印，完好无缺地下山。

一览群山小。

回头看，下山的人隐在细如线的路上。

陡峭的板梯。

Laban Rata Resthouse。

又漆黑又寒冷，很多人在2.30am开始攻顶的这个高陡的板梯前，却步放弃。记得启程前夜宵别吃太饱，最好不吃，减少高山症来袭的几率。感觉高山症的话，可以缓步慢移，别停下来，会慢慢适应。

这是昨晚的住宿Waras Hut，从Laban Rata Resthouse远眺之景。二屋相距脚程10分钟，许多住在这里的登山客，情愿不吃2.30am的夜宵，把来回的路省下，直接攻顶。

 回到Laban Rata 的餐厅，吃个早餐，歇口气，再续程下山。

从Laban Rata 望上去，山峰已远。

 下山路，远山重重。

上坡，最后的刁难，Timpohan Gate在望。

这是世界级爬山比赛的题名金榜，速度快得让人咋舌。

Race Format

There are three categories: Men's Open, Women's Open and Men's Veteran(age above 40)

Runners in the Men's Open category need to reach the summit within two hours and 30 minutes and then to the finish line within two hours.

Runners in the other two categories have three hours and 30 minutes to reach the summit and another three hours to make their way down to the finish line.

All runner who complete the course will receive a finisher's medal and certicate of participation.

Timpohan Gate 到了。12.20pm，行程完整结束。我下山会巧用重力加速，所以比别人早到一些。
门前有小客货车，载送到Kinabalu Park登记处/集合点。
